Meet Our Founder
Stephanie was born at Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital in the big city of dreams, New York City. Inspired by her place of birth and the birth of her candle company, she decided to incorporate the name, Flower Fifth, into her brand.
As a Registered Nurse of over 20 years, she began making candles at the height of the pandemic in 2020. As this was a difficult time for many of us, as a healthcare worker, it took a toll on her health and well-being. Nonetheless she continued to care for her patients to the best of her ability. Her passion for caring for her patients extended into a great passion for candle making. Making candles during this time and over the years has been very therapeutic, calming, and a great way to decompress.
Her youngest daughter bought her first candle making kit in 2020 and she began making candles as a creative hobby. Since then, she has developed and perfected the craft which has evolved from a hobby into a business. She intends to focus on enjoying the moments of candle creation and having a creative space that allows her to escape from the demands of life.
With Sincere Gratitude,
Stephanie
Candle Making
Stephanie created a home studio where she creates her handcrafted candle vessels, handcrafted custom lids, hand pours wax, completed with wooden crackling wicks. The vessels are made from quality concrete, providing strength and durability, adorned with cool and earth tones, as well as primary colors. The custom lids, also made from concrete, are decorated with our Flower Fifth Candle Company logo. The wax used is virgin coconut soy, which is gluten free, toxin free, paraben free, and phthalate free. The wooden wicks are made from 100% natural wood from Sappy Fruit Trees. The candle making process takes about 8 days, from handcrafting the vessels to hand pouring wax. The scents vary with an array of elegant, exotic essential oil fragrances that will enhance any space. Her hope is the candles provide a sense of calm, tranquility, serenity and peace in any space.
Repurpose
Wondering what to do with your empty candle vessel? One option is to recycle or repurpose the vessel into plenty functional decorative ways. Simply remove the wick and any remaining wax by scooping the wax with a spoon and/or carefully melt the remaining wax. Some creative ways to reuse the empty vessels, can be a planter, desk organization, bathroom organization, table decor, and/or a vase etc.
